About

Sure, the 1980s were a great decade for film. But have you seen all of them? No, neither has Mary. In fact, some pretty big films passed her by, what with being in kindergarten at the time…so it’s time to fix that.

Mary, a white woman with glasses, gray in the part of her otherwise reddish hair, and a great smile, wears a jean jacket studded with buttons and gives a thumbs-up in front of Spaceballs and Point Break movie posters down the shore.MARY:
Mary Jones is the co-elf of the band Deth Elf; creator of the maryjones.us website, a lifelong project sharing medieval Celtic texts; a playwright; a tarot card reader; and a gardener. She was a fan of Jack Benny at 6 and will sing Psycho Killer at karaoke at the drop of a hat.
Dennis, a hotter Kurt Vonnegut, is taking a bite of a large burrito. He looks surprised at the picture being taken.
DENNIS:
Dennis Lingg is the co-elf of the band Deth Elf, creator of the Donut Box comic, has recorded chip tunes as Slagomorph, and wrote zines as Candy Graez.
Like Mary, he likes arty movies and trash–and the closer the one gets to the other the better.

Mary and Dennis met in 2003 at a playwriting workshop where she cruelly ripped into a very bad play. He instantly fell in love with her. When not watching movies, they write Christmas songs together as the band Deth Elf, as heard on WPRB’s yearly special show Jon Solomon’s 25-Hour Holiday Marathon. They live outside Philadelphia.
